Rod’s 2 Cents for The Week
Although much of the diggin’ scene has turned into a popularity contest (when it comes to value and rarity), there still are great records to be found. Original pressings are of course the standard, and reissues serve as a last resort for many. This attitude I describe is the mindset of real hardworkin’ record collectors that only use serato as a solution for traveling and heavy loads of gear. We all know a laptop and a portable hard drive may be less than fifteen pounds all together but it still doesn’t stop the few of us who continually stick to vinyl. All I’m saying is that an mp3 doesn’t include a record jacket or credit liner notes. My fingers will remain dusty until the point that I can’t crouch down and take a peek in milkcrates. Good day…
